Leg 2, West on MT-200 to Clearwater Junction. 39 miles
Leg 3, East on MT-200 to Hwy 141, South on Hwy 141 to Hwy 12 to Helena. 87 miles
Day 1 Total 211 Miles.

2002 History

The 2002 Montana 500

The 2002 Montana 500 was headquartered out of Helena. Day one June 17th: Leg one of the run was 68 miles from East Helena to White Sulphur Springs. Leg two was 102 miles to Townsend. Leg three was 25 miles back to East Helena. Second Day June 18th: Leg four, 92 miles Helena to Choteau. Leg five, 19 miles from Choteau to some road construction.  Leg six, from the construction to Helena, 80 miles.  Day three: Leg seven, from Montana City to Cardwell, 57 miles.  We then toured to Wheat.   The last leg, leg eight was from Wheat back to Helena, 57 miles.
